On paid plans, the receptionist answers calls to your business number, finds out what the caller needs, and can book them straight into a genuinely free slot in your calendar.
It never quotes a price
Pricing is yours. If a caller asks what something costs, the receptionist tells them you’ll confirm the price — and offers to book a time so you can look. It cannot say a number, quote a range, or offer a time you don’t have free.
Everything lands in the record
- A booked call creates the customer, the job, and the calendar slot — and tells you on the Today feed.
- The full call transcript lands in that customer’s conversation record, same as a text thread.
- If it can’t take the call (or your monthly minutes run out), the caller hears a short apology and instantly gets your missed-call text — no dead air.
- Set your business text number in Settings (the receptionist answers that number).
- Turn on “Phone receptionist” in Settings.
- Make sure your timezone is right — offered slots follow your clock.
Good to know: Each plan includes a monthly pool of call minutes (Solo 200, Team 500). When they’re used up, calls fall back to the missed-call text until the month rolls over.
